Zhenxiao Yin received a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Paderborn University, Germany, in 2018. Subsequently, he earned double M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 2021 and 2022. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Robotics and Autonomous Systems Thrust at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Guangzhou and Hong Kong SAR, China. His research interests encompass learning-based control and zero-speed-drop control for electric machines. He has published and accepted about 20 papers and submitted more than 10 patents during his PhD study.
He was the recipient of the German National Scholarship at the Technical University of Munich, the nominate of Scholarships Bavarian Elite Academy of Germany, the nominate of the Young Academy of the Technical University of Munich, the recipient of the Best Oral Presentation Award of the First Electrical Artificial Intelligence Conference with the presentation title of “Machine Learning based Control Theory for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors”. His research is reported by Xinhua Net, China Economic Net with the title of “Intelligent Motor Control Inspired by the Form of Disturbance - A Solution to Improve eVTOL Safety from Core Drive Components”. He is the International Youth Climate Champion of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. He is a Supporting Member of Humanitarian Relief of the Malteser International Charity Organization.
He was the captain of the football team, and he was a table tennis player and represented his hometown Qingdao joined “Zhuang-Zedong Cup” Chinese National Table Tennis Competition at a young age.
